22 people have died of coronavirus in Lithuania so far and 54 people have recovered, based on the latest data, the country's Health Minister Aurelijus Veruga said on Friday.

"Since we receive some of information from medical establishments a bit late, so, based on the latest data, to this day, we have 22 recorded coronavirus deaths in Lithuania," the minister said.

Veryga also reported about over 50 new cases of recovery from coronavirus.

"We have 54 people who have recovered from this virus. I hope this number will grow even faster over the upcoming," the health minister said.

Up until now, it has been officially stated that eight people have recovered from coronavirus.
