The defense ministers of the two countries are planning to sign a joint statement about this during their meeting in Marijampolė, in southern Lithuania, on Thursday, the Lithuanian Defence Ministry said.
Juozas Olekas and Raimonds Bergmans will also discuss NATO's approved security and deference measures in the Baltic region and the host nations' support for multinational battalions to be deployed there, it said.
