On 15 October, Colonel Darius Užkuraitis and Dan Ohllsson, on behalf of defence ministries of Lithuania and Sweden, respectively, signed an agreement on cooperation in defence procurement, the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence reports.

The agreement, signed in Stockholm, enables Lithuania to join Sweden's procurement in defence sector which, in its turn, will reduce administrative costs and allows to coordinate bilateral negotiating positions with potential supplies of equipment and services thus making acquisitions more economical.
