The court found Kohver, who had been kidnapped by Russian authorities in early September, guilty. Kohver will also have to pay a fine of 100,000 roubles.

The Estonian Government has repeatedly asserted that they consider the trial held against Eston Kohver to be unlawful.

Russian authorities had charged Kohver of espionage, illegal border-crossing, possession of a weapon and smuggling of said weapon.
