Lithuanian swimmer Rūta Meilutytė is to return to competition next week swimming in a 2016 Euro Meet in Luxembourg on January 29-31. Meilutytė will compete for the first time since she got an elbow injury in 2015.

The Olympic champion injured her elbow in September 2015 while cycling.

The Lithuanian swimmer is preparing for the Olympic Games, in which she will defend her 100-metre breaststroke title.

The 18 year-old swimmer won silver in last year's world championships in Kazan. Meilutytė also holds the 100m breaststroke world record.
