Berankis has 630 ATP ranking points and is currently competing in the prestigious tournament ATP Masters Series 1000 in Miami, Florida, which started on March 25th.
Laurynas Grigelis was the second highest placed Lithuanian player in the standings. He remains in 362nd spot on 124 points.
Compatriot Lukas Mugevičius maintained his position of 646th place with 41 ATP ranking points to his name.
Two other Lithuanian players, Julius Tverijonas and Dovydas Šakinis, also featured in the standings, albeit further down.
Tverijonas dropped eight places from 2014 and fell from 1263rd position to 1271st place on 5 points.
The last ranked Lithuanian is Dovydas Šakinis.
Šakinis improved his position by six positions, but remains in 1965th place with one point.
Serbia’s Novak Djokovič keeps first place in the ATP world ranking with 13,205 points overall.
Djokovič’s recent victory was in the final of the Indian Wells Masters tournament on March 23rd when he defeated Switzerland’s Roger Federer.
The Serb beat Federer 6-3, 6-7, 6-2 to defend his 2014 title and take his fourth win on the event.
Third position in the ATP world rankings went to Spaniard Rafael Nadal, while Great Britain’s Andy Murray who lies fourth.
Japanese player Kei Nishikori rounded out the top-five.
