Vilnius only trailed Oslo and Zurich where residents had a 99% satisfaction rating of their city, and the Lithuanian capital took third place with a satisfaction rating of 98% jointly with Aalborg and Belfast.

This Flash Eurobarometer survey by the EU on “Quality of life in European cities” showed that satisfaction with the place where respondents live and a feeling of safety, in their neighbourhood and particularly in the city as a whole, are the features that show the highest correlation with overall satisfaction of living in a city.

Vilnius residents had a 95% satisfaction rating for their shopping experience in the city, while their trust in their fellow citizens jumped 14 points to 66%, and their satisfaction with the cleanliness of Vilnius also jumped 17 points to 78%. Nearly 90% of Vilnius residents expressed satisfaction with the life they lead in the city, up 12 points on the last survey.
