Some 57 cases of Hepatitis A virus were reported in Lithuania last year, up from 16 in 2016.

ULAC specialists say that the incidence of the disease increases periodically, urging travelers to be careful. Some 40 percent of the persons infected last year are assumed to have contracted the virus abroad: in Turkey, Spain, Portugal, India, Asia and elsewhere.
