The Lithuanian Fire and Rescue Department has warned of strong winds in much of the country on Friday and urged people to be cautious.

The department said in an alert message that northwesterly winds may gust up to 15-20 meters per second in many areas of the country.

The Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service on Friday forecasts some rain, mostly in northwestern districts, and strong and gusty westerly to northwesterly winds across the country, with temperatures at 13-18C.
