"We have collected a total of 51,000 litas. The money will be transferred to the International Committee of the Red Cross as soon as all operators of short numbers pay us," Jevgrafovienė told BNS.

The Lithuanian Red Cross started the campaign in August. The secretary general said the money will be spent on rebuilding and medication in regions of Donetsk and Luhansk.

"The money will be spent on rebuilding, as we know that thousands of people are rebuilding their homes in the Donetsk region. The entire infrastructure and water supply systems have been destroyed. Money will also go towards various medication, as large numbers of patients in Donetsk and Luhansk regions – a few hundred of them – are in need of help," said Jevgrafovienė.
