Foreign diplomats have donated 24,000 litas (EUR 6,900) to the SOS Children's Village in Vilnius that fosters nearly 70 children.

Vice-president of the foreign diplomatic corps residing in Vilnius, Moldovan Ambassador Igor Klipii, along with China's Ambassador Zengwen Liu and adviser to the Holy See's envoy to Lithuania, Monsignor Giovanni Gaspari, on Tuesday presented the money on the occasion of the upcoming holidays.

SOS Children's Villages foster children based on a family model, also helping children and parents in risk groups. Operations of SOS Children's Villages are financed by the state and private sponsors.
