Another 16 Syrian refugees have arrived in Lithuania under the EU's resettlement program, the Migration Department said.

"Three families of citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic with young children, 16 persons in total, we relocated from Greece to Lithuania on Jan. 11, 2017," it said in a press release.

This brings to 239 the total number of refugees from Middle East who have been relocated to Lithuania from Greece and Turkey.

Lithuania has pledged to take in a total of 1,105 refugees under the EU program.
