Šimašius himself shared the information on Facebook on Friday.

The ongoing interrogation was confirmed to BNS by the service's spokeswoman Renata Saulytė.

Šimašius is questioned in a political corruption investigation where the Liberal Movement's former leader, Eligijus Masiulis, is suspected of bribery and influence peddling.
