The Lithuanian parliament will on Tuesday vote on whether or not to strip MP Kęstutis Pūkas of his immunity so that prosecutors could bring formal suspicions of sexual harassment and violation of the rules for keeping firearms against the lawmaker.

An ad-hoc parliamentary commission has recommended granting Prosecutor General Evaldas Pašilis' request to lift Pūkas' immunity.

At least 71 votes in the 141-member Seimas are needed for stripping a parliamentarian of his or her immunity from prosecution.

Prosecutors say that four women's testimonies and information gathered as part of the pre-trial investigation provide reasonable grounds to suspect that Pūkas between January and February 2017 sexually harassed persons subordinate to him.
