The prime minister was reticent on what services exactly he contacted and when he did so, also indicating that his note to the relevant services is classified.

The State Security Department (VSD) has confirmed receipt of the prime minister's note, however its representatives could not comment in more detail.

Meanwhile, "Farmer" leader Ramūnas Karbauskis says he is not aware of information linking the Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD) with the Kremlin.

TS-LKD chairman Gabrielius Landsbergis quips that the prime minister has lately been inclined to creatively interpret information, recommending S. Skvernelis to first contact the Molėtai observatory and its specialists for information on star formations, which could give him further thoughts.
