Several current and former advisers to Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė were questioned at Vilnius City District Court as part of the hearing of a criminal case against ex-presidential spokeswoman Daiva Ulbinaitė who is charged with leaking classified information and abuse of office.

Presidential advisers Ieva Baubinaitė, Šarūnė Sablevičienė, Živilė Didžgalvienė as well as former presidential adviser on national security issues Jonas Markevičius were questioned during Tuesday's hearing.

The pre-trial investigation in this case was launched last October after BNS news agency published an article about a warning issued by the State Security Department about information attacks plotted by Russia against Lithuanian leaders.

As soon as the case was handed over to court in June, Ulbinaitė left President Dalia Grybauskaitė's team.
