The chair of the Committee, Artūras Paulauskas, said the findings of the investigation were approved unanimously. The findings are expected to be edited during the weekend and included in Parliament's agenda for consideration on Tuesday.

"At root, flight safety regulations must be tightened, required rescue equipment when flying over bodies of water must be defined in greater detail," said Paulauskas.

According to the MP, response time should be reduced, airspace monitoring system must be improved - if Lithuanian radars cannot see flying objects, then agreements with all neighbouring countries should be established on promptly granting information about the last recorded location of airplanes in case of emergency.
