Lithuanian Deputy Health Minister Aušra Motiejūnienė-Bilotienė and her adviser Danas Bakša are stepping down from their positions, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

"Vice-minister Aušra Motiejūnienė-Bilotienė and her adviser Danas Bakša are leaving their jobs," Lina Bušinskaitė-Šriubėnė, an adviser to Health Minister Aurelijus Veryga, told BNS in a comment.

Bušinskaitė-Šriubėnė said that the resignations have nothing to do with Wednesday's article in the daily Lietuvos Rytas about allegedly non-transparent procurement processes at the Health Ministry.

According to her, there are no indications of any non-transparent procurement processes.
