"MP Kildišienė will on Monday hand in her resignation as member of the Seimas. There was no crime in that story, but there were terrible accusations and terrible persecution," he told BNS.

Kildišienė came under public scrutiny this week over to a car leasing agreement between her mother and Agrokoncernas, a company owned by Karbauskis.

Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis and First Deputy Speaker of the Seimas Rima Baškienė told BNS that new circumstances that have come to light regarding Kildišienė's alleged misappropriation of funds from her employer back in 2005 are another reason why she should give up her MP seat.
