"The prime minister has submitted to the president a proposal regarding Plytnikas' dismissal because Plytnikas handed in his letter of resignation to the prime minister," said prime minister's spokeswoman Evelina Butkutė-Lazdauskienė to Elta.

President Dalia Grybauskaitė is going to accept the resignation.

"The court's (the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania - Elta) ruling is final and must be carried out. Upon the receipt of the prime minister's proposal, the president will dismiss Plytnikas from the post of the head of the Public Procurement Office," the presidential statement reads.
