The Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission has also been notified about the breach.

OFCOM said that the violations of the British Broadcasting Code were committed in the 30-minute broadcast Anatomy of the Day on Sept. 2 of 2015. As the Lithuanian watchdog has also found, the news broadcast featured misleading information about the Lithuanian policies on teaching subjects in the national or the official language in secondary schools of Lithuania. According to OFCOM, the broadcast referred to statements about newly-adopted legal acts that "allow a single mother tongue – the Lithuanian language" and "future bans to study at a higher level in all other languages, except for the Lithuanian language."

Baltic Media Alliance Ltd., which represents NTV Mir Lithuania in Great Britain, told the British regulator that the coverage was a reflection of the host's position and "did not reflect news," therefore, was not subject to the regulator rules.

"OFCOM considered that the news item relating to the Lithuanian government's education policy was not reported with due impartiality and therefore Rule 5.1 of the Code was breached," the British regulator said.

According to the conclusion, NTV Mir Lithuania has violated UK laws in the past, and consultations are in progress on the "licensing status" and BMAL compliance to licensing rules.
