People in Lithuania looking to spend some time out in nature should be advised that, given the recent spate of warm weather, lighting fires can be dangerous.

Lithuania's Ministry of Environment on Wednesday warned about increased fire hazard in forests across the country.

According to data provided by weather services, a class 3 fire hazard is expected in many forests, with class 4 fire hazard set for some regions in southern and eastern Lithuania – this means a high hazard of fires there.
