An international conference on regional security hosted by Lithuania's former President Valdas Adamkus will take place at Vilnius University on Tuesday.

Discussions will focus on Ukraine's future, the region's energy security and Europe-US relations.

Among those expected to take part the conference are former presidents Viktor Yushchenko of Ukraine and Traian Basescu of Romania, as well as Bogdan Borusewicz, deputy marshal of the Polish Senate, Elmar Brok, an outstanding German politician and a member of the European Parliament, and Kurt Volker, the US special representative for Ukraine.
