The Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Office recently received a response from Vietnam about the decision to extradite Rachinstein, a Lithuanian citizen who had been detained in Vietnam, the Prosecutor General's Office said.

Rachinstein was sentenced for setting up a chain of companies on behalf of homeless individuals, using them launder and appropriate millions of euros.

In March, a panel of seven judges of the Supreme Court upheld the verdict handed down by a Vilnius court in December 2014.

Rachinstein was not present at the hearing in late 2014, prosecutors suspect he had already fled Lithuania.
