A delegation of Lithuanian parliamentarians headed by Parliamentary Speaker Viktoras Pranckietis is leaving for Warsaw on Wednesday to celebrate 100 years of Lithuania's restored statehood.

During the two day visit, Pranckietis will discuss bilateral relations and cooperation with Poland's Sejm Marshall Marek Kuchcinski and Senate Speaker Stanislaw Karcewski.

The Lithuanian parliamentary speaker will also deliver a speech at the Polish parliament. He will be the third Seimas speaker to do so after Česlovas Juršėnas and Vytautas Landsbergis.

The parliamentary delegation will include MPs Irena Degutienė, Asta Kubilienė, Aušrinė Norkienė, Rita Tamašunienė, Emanuelis Zingeris and Juršėnas, the former parliamentary speaker.

The visit to Warsaw will take place amid the warming relations between Lithuania and Poland.
