The Lithuanian parliament's committees on health affairs and foreign affairs on Wednesday approved the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the European Union and Canada, opening the way for starting debates on the ratification of the pact in the full Seimas.

CETA was submitted to the Seimas for ratification back in the spring of 2017, but the process stopped at the Committee on Health Affairs.
