Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov of the Republic of Macedonia is paying a working visit to Lithuania on Friday.

Dimitrov is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius and Defense Minister Raimundas Karoblis, as well as with members of the Seimas committees on European and foreign affairs and the Group for Interparliamentary Relations with the Western Balkan Countries.

Topics to be discussed during the meetings include bilateral relations, Macedonia's EU and NATO membership aspirations, the situation in the Western Balkans, and regional security and cooperation issues.

Macedonia has been a candidate for accession to the European Union since 2005.
