Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine Petras Vaitiekūnas was awarded by Lithuanian Business Confederation award The Business Ambassador for his contribution in representing Lithuania's business and political interests in Ukraine and for active efforts in developing democracy in the country.

The award is bestowed for active promotion of Lithuanian business relations with foreign countries, representation of Lithuania's economic interests, expanding awareness about Lithuania's businesses, encouraging bilateral business promotions, assistance in implementing business expansion projects abroad, searching for business partners and attracting new investment.

The ambassador was awarded during the annual convention of heads of Lithuanian diplomatic missions in foreign countries.

The Business Ambassador award was established six years ago.
