Lithuania's ambassador to Russia should be replaced at the end of this year.

The Foreign Ministry has submitted a draft, suggesting that Renatas Norkus be recalled from the ambassadorial position on 22 December.

According to information available to BNS, First Deputy Governmental Chancellor Remigijus Motuzas, 57, is proposed for the post in Moscow. His designation has already been approved by the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee.

Until the end of coordination procedures, the Foreign Ministry has refused to give any official comment on the appointment.
