An Inukshuk, a Canadian national symbol, will be unveiled in the Botanical Garden of Vilnius University in Vilnius on Thursday to mark 25-year anniversary since the restoration of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Canada.

Inukshuks are human-made stone structures used by indigenous people in Canada's Arctic region as markers for travel routes, fishing places, camps, hunting grounds, places of veneration and food caches.

Lithuania and Canada restored their diplomatic relations on September 2, 1991. Canada never recognized the annexation of Lithuania by the Soviet Union.
