The e-Tourist Visa would enable tourists from Lithuania to apply for an Indian visa online, without needing to visit the visa agency. Information on the e-Tourist Visa scheme is available here.

Ambassador of India to Lithuania, Mr. Ajay Bisaria said, “We are delighted with this development which I had the opportunity to discuss with the Lithuanian leadership in April. We have strong cultural contacts and people-to-people links between our countries and this scheme will give a special boost to tourism from Lithuania to India.” Wing Commander (Retd) Rajinder Chaudhary, who is the Honorary Consul of India in Lithuania from January 2015, added that this development is a marker of India’s commitment to Lithuania. He said, “We will be happy to facilitate travel to India by Lithuanian tourists. Visas for other categories will continue to be available through our agency BLS as before.”

India has also launched a new social media presence in Lithuania which will engage with and provide information for tourists, businessmen and other friends of India in Lithuania.
