Twenty-two refugees from the Middle East were relocated to Lithuania last week under the EU's resettlement program, the Migration Department said.

It said that the refugees were six Syrian families.

This brings to 332 the total number of Middle Eastern refugees relocated to Lithuania from Italy, Greece and Turkey.

Lithuania almost two years ago pledged to take in a total of 1,105 refugees from such countries as Syria, Iraq or Eritrea under the EU program.
