Dargužaitė on will take over the new position from Mariano Andrade Gonzalez, acting head of BTCL since October 2014, on 30 March, Barclays said in a press release on Monday.

Gonzalez will stay on as head of Barclays' global human resources service centre in Lithuania.

Dargužaitė has been a director in Global Technology Infrastructure Services at Barclays, based in London, since last January.

In February 2014, Dargužaitė stepped down as managing director of Invest Lithuania after two years in the post. She said that there were disagreements between her and the current government.
