A new study shows that horror movies are among the biggest passions of Lithuanian cryptocurrency-lovers. But it doesn’t at all paint their lives in gloomy colors as upon leaving the cinema they are also into night clubbing, sports and TV shows, a press release from Luno states.

"One of the biggest challenges cryptocurrency- and blockchain technology-related businesses face is customer acquisition. This is because even though 4 out of 5 Lithuanians have heard of cryptocurrencies, far less of them tend to declare such knowledge and as little as a few percent have virtual money of their own. As the latter few percent can be hard to track down, we initiated a study to find out what are the pastimes and general preferences of Lithuanians interested in cryptocurrencies", says Magdalena Gołębiewska, the head of Eastern Europe division of cryptocurrency marketing platform "Luno".

The study revealed that horror movies are one of the most popular hobbies, as this genre is preferred by one in every six (17%) Lithuanians keen on cryptocurrencies

Just as a lot of people, they also like music. EDM, to be genre-specific, which is considered a favorite by a fifth of the participants.

As they leave the bitcoin-related affairs behind for the day, these Lithuanians like to wind down with a good TV show, such as "Top Gear", "Prison Break", "Vikings" or "Game of Thrones".

"In short, if you plan a surprise for your cryptocurrency-crazy crush, take him or her to see a horror movie. After a visit to the cinema, swing by a nightclub and finally top it off with a cozy evening in front of a TV. On a more serious note, the mentioned places and platforms present us with the highest chance to reach the target audience", states M. Gołębiewska.

Although the majority (88%) of Lithuanians with an interest in cryptocurrencies are men, enjoying sports, technology and gambling, their girl counterparts are not that concerned with computers.

The girls indicate taking interest in fashion (the third of them, or three times as much as the Lithuanian average), they also like to cook (twice as much as the Lithuanian average) and stick to a healthy lifestyle (it is taken up by 43,6% of the girls).

A study conducted by "Metricso" analyzed over 1,5 million social media interactions by 24,6 thousand Lithuanian users. The study employed anonymous statistic social media user data.
