From January to June of 2015, Klaipėda Seaport cargo handling turnover increased by 6.2 percent to 18.86 million tons or 1.1 million tons more compared with the corresponding period of 2014, the port reports.

Overall turnover of liquid cargo handled in January amounted to 5.209 million tons, or up by 40.9 percent/1.1511,8 million tons on a year-on-year basis; general cargo - 5.616,2 million tons, or down by 14 percent/78,200 tons year-on-year; dry and bulk cargo - 8.031,1 million tons or down by 4 percent/334,000 tons year-on-year.
