"Having started the reconstruction of commercial areas of Vilnius Airport terminal in March, we aim to offer passengers a wider range of goods and services. The renewed duty free shop in the non-Schengen zone was one of the first shops due to open following the renovation. We have no doubt that it will delight our passengers and improve their airport experience," says Justinas Stepšys, the Head of Non-aviation Services Department at the Lithuanian Airports, the Vilnius Airport press office wrote in a press release.

A modern 119 square metre shop is located in the passenger waiting hall of the non-Schengen zone by A8/1 and A8/2 boarding gates and offers passengers a wide variety of goods. The shop offers passengers gourmet food, sweets, drinks, perfume, make up and tobacco products, as well as accessories, toys, and other goods that travellers like. It also offers customers a chance to buy more Lithuanian brand products which will be located on three specifically designed shelves.

The interior of the duty free shop uses modern lighting and latest furniture solutions, while the shop itself is divided into zones by product category.

"During the reconstruction of the non-Schengen zone a new A8/2 waiting area was designed for the passengers' comfort. The new duty free shop is located right next to it. We will open our largest, duty free shop, covering 800 square metres, in the second half of September. Currently, intense building works are under way there," says Justinas Stepšys.

Duty free section of Vilnius Airport is managed by the German store operator "Gebr. Heinemann SE & Co", acting jointly with its subsidiary UAB "Travel Retail Vilnius".
