The first consortium's offer is 79.9 million euros, while the second offer is 77.886 million euros.

Friday was the application deadline. Neringa Kolkaitė of the Lithuanian capital's municipality confirmed to BNS that two offers were received, adding that the assessment could take a few months.

Axis Industries said it would build the stadium complex for 79.9 million euros, submitting the offer together with companies Venetus Capital and Kauno Arena, as well as architect bureaus Populous and Cloud Architektai (Cloud Architects).

Renatas Načajus, CEO of Vilniaus Nacionalinis Stadionas, told BNS that the company's offer was 77.886 million euros, with subcontractors including Budimex. He said the stadium would seat 16,800 viewers but refused to provide further details.

However, Krzysztof Koziol of Budimex told BNS the company was not involved in the offer.

"We gave up plans of taking part in the tender. Budimex is not partner to Vilniaus Nacionalinis Stadionas," Koziol said in a comment to BNS.

Axis Industries said that the 33.8 -million-euro soccer stadium would match Category 4 of UEFA, seating 15,000 viewers. Furthermore, three soccer fields would be built next to the stadium, in addition to six covered basketball courts, a cultural centre, a library, a kindergarten and a national sports museum.

If the tender goes as planned, construction of the stadium should be started in spring of 2019.
