The German defence attaché to Lithuania resides in Riga, Latvia.

During the formal changeover ceremony at the Ministry of National Defence, Vice Minister Marijus Velička presented the National Defence Medal of Merit to Lieutenant Colonel Achim Neitzert.

According to the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence, Lithuania and Germany's defence cooperation covers the areas of combat training, weaponry acquisition, and contribution to allied capabilities.
