On July 29, NATO jets were scrambled from Šiauliai three times to intercept and accompany an Il-76 and five An-26s. The planes were flying according to pre-filled plans, with their transponders on and maintaining radio communication.

On the same day, NATO jets performed scrambles to intercept and accompany four Russian fighter jets MiG-31 and four bombers Su-34 which were flying without pre-filled plans, with their transponder off and without maintaining radio communication.

No violations of Lithuania's airspace were recorded.
