This is one of NATO's largest military exercises in Lithuania involving around 2.5 thousand military personnel from nine NATO member states.

The President will watch a combined operation being completed by troops participating in the exercise and view a display of military equipment and weaponry.

Exercise Iron Sword 2014 is a two-week event. In the first week, the exercise took place at the Gaižiūnai military training range in Rukla, in the second week - at the training area in Pabradė.
