The Lithuanian State Defence Council is holding a meeting on Monday where top officials of the country and heads of intelligence institutions should discuss and approve needs and priorities of intelligence information for this year.

The first meeting of the new line-up of the State Defence Council will also discuss the security situation.

Under the law, the council is headed by the president as the supreme commander of the country's Armed Forces, it also includes the prime minister, the parliamentary speaker, the defense ministry and the chief of defence.
