NATO airmen guarding the air space of the Baltic states enjoyed a calm holiday period over the last weeks of 2014. According to data provided by the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence, NATO fighter-jets were not scrambled once in response to flights close to the borders of the Baltic states between 22 December and 4 January.
