The soldiers will arrive aboard two airplanes and will proceed to Rukla. At the Karmelava airport, they will be welcomed by the battalion's commander Christoph Huber of Germany who arrived in Lithuania last week.

On February 1-10, about 450 German troops with tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and other equipment should come to the Baltic state.

The international battalion to be finalized in June will consist of more than 1,000 troops from a few NATO member-states.
