"Anyone willing to make a pledge for the next century, tell what his life is now and what he expects the future to bring or what he can do for Lithuania – everyone will be able to sign the book. It is of unlimited size, we are willing to bind all of the pledges," Parliamentary Speaker Viktoras Pranckietis told the national television LRT on Wednesday morning.

President Dalia Grybauskaite was the first one to sign the book.

In his words, the book of pledges will be presented during the anniversary conference dedicated to the 1917 Lithuanian Conference held in Vilnius. Afterwards the book will tour Lithuania.

"There are no restrictions, all pledges are wanted and welcome," said the parliamentary speaker.
