Youngest surviving premature baby born in Kaunas

Lithuania's youngest surviving premature baby was born at Kauno Klinikos earlier this year, the hospital in the country's second-biggest city said on Wednesday.

The baby girl was born at just 22 weeks' gestation and weighed 350 grams, the hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) said.

She is now five months old and weighs 3.5 kilograms.

Lithuania's previous youngest surviving premature baby was delivered at 28 weeks' gestation and weighed 450 grams.
