With the new season of The Walking Dead just around the corner, its producers are promising the fans quite a few surprises. One of the biggest intrigues the fate of Rick Grimes, a key character in the show, a Fox press release states.

This year, the new season reach TV screens earlier: season 9 is set to premiere in 125 countries worldwide on October the 8th, with the US premiere scheduled for October the 7th. Like before, The Walking Dead in Lithuania is presented by FOX Channel.

The cast of the new season will feature British actress, Oscar nominee and BAFTA award winner Samantha Morton, who will play Alpha – the leader of a new group, The Whisperer. Also, Maggie (Lauren Cohan) returns to the show to revenge for Glen's death; and so does Shane Walsh (Jon Bernthal).

Introducing the highlights of the upcoming season 9, The Walking Dead producers are promising that the rules of the game will change.
