Rain with possible thunderstorms are in the forecast for Lithuania in the coming days, but the mercury is expected to rise slightly over the weekend, the country's Hydrometeorological Service said.

Rain and thunderstorms to continue in Lithuania with higher temperatures

Friday's forecast calls for nighttime lows of 10-15C and daytime highs of 18-20C, with rain forecast throughout the country. The skies will be mostly cloudy with bright spells.

Saturday will bring more rain and a chance of thunderstorms in some places, with nighttime lows at 11-15C and daytime highs at 19-21C.

On Sunday, temperatures will range from nighttime lows of 13-17C to daytime highs of 22-24C, with brief showers forecast in some places.

Temperatures are expected to climb higher early next week, up to 26-27C in places.
