Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė has congratulated Skaiste Venckutė, Inga Mikšaite and Eventas Gužauskas on winning gold medals at the European Kyokushin Karate Championships in Wroclaw, Poland.

According to the head of state, it's an honorary reward for endurance, determination and hard training while seeking their goals, the statement issued by the president's press service said.

The president also congratulated the whole team for demonstrating exceptional combativity and winning silver and bronze medals.

Grybauskaitė wished the athletes to further promote Lithuania's name, inspired by this victory.
