Albinas Kentra-Ausra, a partisan, chronicler of the Lithuanian Atgimimas (Revival) movement and a chevalier of the Order of the Cross of Vytis, has been nominated for the annual Freedom Prize in Lithuania.

The decision was on Thursday made by the Lithuanian Seimas' Freedom Prize Commission.

All in all, seven undisclosed people were nominated for the price.

The nominee is selected by a special commission and the final decision is made by the Seimas.

The Freedom Prize, established on 15 September, 2011, is bestowed during a solmen ceremony on Jan 13. The price's value is 5,000 euros.
