Rūta Meilutytė took the gold medal in a 100-meter breaststroke swimming event on Sunday at the international swimming competition Mare Nostrum 2016 in Barcelona.

The 19-year-old Lithuanian Olympic champion finished the 100m distance in 1:06.00 minutes, beating Britain's Chloe Tutton (1:07.74) and Japan's Kanako Watanabe (1:08.10).

On Saturday, Meilutytė also took gold in 50-metre breaststroke.
